Prof. Nico Louw Specialist Endodontist
BChD (Pret), MSc (London), PhD (Stell)

Nico qualified at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and practiced as a dentist near Cape Town until 1972. He then initiated an academic career by studying at the Institute of Dental Surgery in the Eastman Dental Hospital in London, leading to a MSc in Conservative Dentistry. This was followed some years later with a PhD of the University of Stellenbosch. During his term of office as Professor and Chairman of Conservative dentistry at the same university, he developed a particular interest in Endodontics and lectured extensively on this subject at his own university and in several countries. He also did considerable research in the subject. Through this long teaching career, in which all professional activity was limited to this discipline, Nico developed the special clinical skills to execute the required procedures more effectively. This expertise is recognized by the General Dental Council, allowing him to practice as a Specialist Endodontist. He uses special equipment to assist him, like a microscope, special electronic imaging devices, measuring instruments and equipment for preparing and sealing root canals in three dimensions. This leads to a more predictable outcome for treatment.

Dental Nurse Lynne Hardcastle

Registered Dental Nurse Lynne Hardcastle came with Ramona from their previous practice where they have already bonded into a very successful team. She has extensive experience of most aspects of dental care and surgery management. During her years in the Cornwall NHS there have been many changes in the processes of patient care, record keeping, clinical techniques and management procedures.

Dr. Ramona Ropelewska-Kaniewska

Our new Dentist is Dr. Ramona Ropelewska-Kaniewska who qualified in Poland in 1992 where she conducted her own dental practice for several years. She started work in the UK about four years ago and has a reputation of a skilled and caring dentist.

Victoria Hull Dental Hygienist and Therapist. She qualified from Newcastle University in 2008 in. This dual qualification enables her to provide fillings AND Oral Hygiene education to our patients. Victoria is very enthusiastic about giving quality patient care in a relaxed and personal way to help you maintain a fresh, happy and healthy mouth!

Nurse Kellie Gooch

Kellie has extensive experience as a dental nurse. This gives her the versatility to be a great help in the many and diverse activities of the practice, including nursing at specialist level. Her bright and bubbly personality is a major asset to our team.
